Tony Horton follows a healthy and balanced diet, which includes a variety of nutritious foods. He starts his day with a breakfast consisting of scrambled eggs, chicken sausage, avocado, onions, peppers, and shaved Parmesan. For lunch, he opts for a gluten-free burrito with chicken, brown rice, avocado, and peppers. His dinners usually comprise of salmon, broccoli, quinoa, and a big salad with herbs like basil, berries, cherry tomatoes, and balsamic vinaigrette. As for snacks, Horton munches on nuts like cashews, pistachios, almonds, and pecans, and occasionally prepares a vegan protein shake with egg white protein, berries, and cashews. Despite his commitment to healthy eating, Horton indulges in a big gluten-free chocolate chip cookie after dinner as a reward for his dedication to exercising and eating well throughout the day. Horton alternates between working out in the evening and morning. He claims that his night workouts help him ski harder and faster.

Horton starts his week with plyometrics or jump training on Monday evenings.

Traditional T-Days

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, Horton does his traditional Shoulders and Arms (Tues) and Chest and Back (Thurs) routines from his P90X or P90X3 programs.

Cardio on Wednesdays

Wednesday is cardio day for Horton, where he spends an hour doing various cardio exercises such as stationary bike, jump rope, treadmill, ski machine, versa-climber, rowing, and heavy bag.

Boxes and Balls on Fridays

Horton begins his weekend with Boxes & Balls, which involves stabilization, isolation, and box jumps.

Yoga on Saturdays

Horton practices yoga on Saturdays, attending a class at 5 Point Yoga with Ted McDonald.

Speed Work on Sundays

Sundays are not rest days for Horton either. He does speed work and adds in upper-body workouts such as rope climbing, peg board, and handstand push-ups, among others. Sometimes, his workout turns into an all-day event.
