Dr. Owen Bozeman
Owen Bozeman has served as Lead Pastor at Central Baptist Church, Warner Robins, since 1995. During these years, the church has experienced significant growth in attendance and in the scope and impact of its ministries. "The call to Central Baptist Church was truly one of the great moments in my life," says Pastor Owen. "I am humbled to be part of a church that has embraced with great faith the vision that God placed before us."
This vision resulted in the church’s relocation in 2005 to 155 acres along Lake Joy and Hatcher Roads and Russell Parkway. "Our Lord has placed us strategically in one of the fastest growing areas in Middle Georgia" says Pastor Owen. "We are reaching families of every age and stage of life. It is exciting to see how God is changing lives through over 50 different ministries in which our church is engaged. Yet for all that God has done, we still believe the best is yet to come!"
Pastor Bozeman grew up and was called to ministry in Pensacola, Florida. He has been married to his wife, Debbie, since 1980 and they have two grown children. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion in 1980 from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama; the Master of Divinity degree in 1983 from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY; and the Doctor of Ministry degree in 1994, also from Southern Seminary. Pastor Bozeman has served churches in Kentucky, Alabama, Florida and Georgia.
"We have a saying here at Central’ says Pastor Owen. "The church is not a place you go to, it’s a family you belong to. Come and be part of the family."
